Job summary

HCHCares in Indiana is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform office procedures, take vital signs and assist with clinical tasks. You will interact with patients and families professionally and support the health team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualified candidates have completed a Medical Assistant training program or hold a certification, with CPR certification preferred. One year of related experience is desirable, and a friendly, collaborative attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills.
• CPR certification required or current.

Responsibilities

• Perform office procedures including billing, bookkeeping and typing/correspondence.
• Ability to take vital signs, ECG and perform other clinical assistance tasks.
• Interacts with patients and families in a professional manner.
• Maintains professionalism while interacting with payors, vendors, insurance, etc.
