Job summary

ProMedica Multi Specialty Physicians in Ohio is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the Hematology and Oncology team at Flower Hospital. In a patient-centric care model, you will gather data, document visit reasons, obtain vitals and support physicians and nurses.

You will communicate with patients and staff, answer calls, relay messages, and help deliver a safe, efficient patient experience. Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS ( CPR ), and CMA certification or registration;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS (CPR) certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.

In the office setting, the Medical Assistant communicates with patients and co-workers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes to improve patient care.This person in this position provides a safe patient experience from the moment they walk into a ProMedica facility. From fathering data from the patient to documenting the reasons for the visit and obtaining vitals, the medial assistant strives for clinical excellence.Communication is key in this role. You will communicate with patients, peers and all members of the health care team.
