Job summary

ProMedica Central Physicians in Defiance, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered team. In the office setting, you will collect patient data, take vitals, document visit reasons, and communicate with patients and colleagues to support high-quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma, current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days, and preferably prior medical office experience or certification as a Medical Assistant.

• BLS (CPR), must present a current BLS course card from the AHA at time of employment or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Previous experience in medical office preferred.

In the office setting, the Medical Assistant communicates with patients and co-workers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes to improve patient care.This person in this position provides a safe patient experience from the moment they walk into a ProMedica facility. From fathering data from the patient to documenting the reasons for the visit and obtaining vitals, the medial assistant strives for clinical excellence.Communication is key in this role. You will communicate with patients, peers and all members of the health care team.
