Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to support our multispecialty medical practice. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, safe, effective, and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and update their chief complaints, medical history, medication lists, and take vitals.
• Prepare patient charts in advance and verify benefits reports.
• Scan documents into patient charts.
• Ensure all rooms are stocked and cleaned before and after each patient, and at day's end.
• Refill medications as directed and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Verify physician in-network status and referrals are current.
• Assist physicians with procedures and wound care.
• Follow up on calls and document communications.
• Educate patients about labs, referrals, and procedures.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
• Obtain authorizations for orders as needed.
• Verify insurance and personal information.
• Collect co-pays and fees.
• Manage fax communications.
• Travel to other CLS Health locations as required.
• Perform related duties as needed.
