Job summary

Quincy Medical Group in Pittsfield, IL, is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support high-quality patient care across multiple rural clinics. Based in Pittsfield, you will travel to surrounding QMG locations, assisting providers and ensuring smooth patient flow in a fast-paced primary care setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and MA experience; certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs, medical histories, and visit information.
• Support providers with clinical tasks to ensure efficient and timely patient visits.
• Assist with referrals, medication refills, follow-up coordination, and patient communication.
• Respond to patient phone calls and clinical inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR.
• Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care.
• Adapt quickly to different providers, workflows, and clinic environments.
• Support rural clinic teams to maintain continuity of care across locations.
• Help manage patient flow and clinic operations to ensure efficient experiences.
