Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Assist with treatments ordered by the physician as supervised by the physician or registered nurse.
  • Perform select clinical duties such as interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
  • Perform basic clerical duties including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Manage materials by ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Document diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as indicated by the provider.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Certification/Licenses Required
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Education/Experience Required
  • High school diploma or equivalency, or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.
