Mass General Brigham is seeking per diem Medical Assistants to ensure smooth operations across various practices in the Pioneer Valley. The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high-quality, low-cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. Our Float Pool team is a group of employees who are specially trained and readily available to seamlessly assimilate and stabilize clinical operations within our practices. We cover gaps due to unexpected call outs, long-term leaves, planned vacations, staffing vacancies, etc. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously to the top of your education/certification while also functioning as part of a collaborative team.
Job Summary
We are seeking per diem Medical Assistants to pick up shifts Monday through Friday, but we can be flexible on exact days based on employee availability. In this role, you would be expected to cover various practices across the Pioneer Valley. Towns/cities include:
We do our best to keep all employees with their preferred geographic regions/specialty areas; however, float pool employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our locations during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes).
Our Medical Assistants partner with and work alongside a physician or advanced practice provider. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred. Certified Medical Assistant - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
Experience: Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred.
