Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program (MA Certificate not required if you do front desk only).
• BLS Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge in Insurance Verification and Authorizations is preferred.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly, manage intake forms, and efficiently schedule appointments.
• Navigate full-cycle patient registration, including insurance verification, eligibility checks, fee communication, and payment collection.
• Measures and records vital signs, patient medical history and chief complaints.

Skills

Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record EMR systems

Excellent interpersonal skills

Proficient in medical terminology

Education

Completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
