Job summary

UW Health seeks a Medical Assistant to join a floating team across Primary and Specialty Care clinics. You will prepare patients for exams, record vital signs, and assist with injections and immunizations, while promoting wellness. Flexible schedules support work-life balance in a day-shift, part-time role.

Qualifications include a MA program or LPN licensure pathway, CMA/CMA/RMA/CCMA certification eligibility, and CPR/BLS upon hire, with one year of MA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or completion of accredited medical assistant program.
• Licensure as LPN or completion of MA apprenticeship program preferred.
• CCMA/CMA/RMA certification or eligibility required within 1 year of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and obtain vital signs.
• Document chief complaint, medications and allergies; administer medications and immunizations.
• Educate patients on wellness and healthy lifestyles.

Job description

Work Schedule:

This is a part time, day shift position. Scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of department.

Pay:

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

Additional components of compensation include:

• Float differential of additional $ 2.75 per hour worked

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following Required
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or
• Licensure as an LPN or
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated or
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification

Work Experience

• 1 year as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
