Job summary

UW Health is hiring a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, or LPN) for a part-time day shift across multiple Primary or Specialty Care clinics. You will prepare patients for examination, document vital signs, complaints, medications and allergies, and assist with immunizations and treatments.

The role supports patient-centered care across sites with flexible schedules and access to UW Health resources for wellbeing and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program required.
• LPN licensure or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification may be considered.
• Participation in UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner MA Program.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA certification if education alternative.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Join our float team delivering patient-family centered care.
• Float to multiple Primary or Specialty Care clinics performing exams and procedures as needed.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, document complaints, medications and allergies.
• Educate patients about wellness and healthy lifestyles.

Job description

Work Schedule

This is a part time, day shift position. Scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of department.

Pay

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

Additional components of compensation include:

• Float differential of additional $ 2.75 per hour worked

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program Required or
• Licensure as an LPN or
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated or
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification

Work Experience

• 1 year as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
