Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant in Narberth, Montgomery County. In this role, you will provide general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider, working directly in an outpatient clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training preferred.
• AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and prepare for physical exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain equipment.
• Document patient immunizations and perform drug screenings.
