Job summary

Walk On Clinic in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a busy clinic with patient-centered care. This in-person role is 2 days per week, offering a flexible schedule and a collaborative team environment.

You’ll perform patient intake, assist providers, handle phlebotomy, administer vaccines per orders, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while delivering compassionate care and education to patients.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Medical Assistant certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience in primary or urgent care is preferred.
• Proficient in patient communication and multitasking.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Elation.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform blood draws.
• Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders.
• Perform triage, obtain vitals, and document accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients on care plans, medications, and preventive health.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Collaborate closely with providers, and support staff.
