Job summary

Baptist Health in Florida is seeking a clinically supervised medical assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will assist in examinations, room patients, record vital signs, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

Minimum experience includes 1 year, and licensure/ certification such as CNA, LPN, EMT, or MA is required with Florida credentials. BLS is required; EMR proficiency and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Must have at least one of the above licenses/certifications (MA, CNA, LPN, EMT, Paramedic).
• HIPAA/OSHA compliance required.
• CNA, LPN, EMT license must be from Florida.

Responsibilities

• Works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and clinic supervisor/manager.
• Assists in examination and treatment of patients, rooms patients and obtains information, measures vital signs, and records information in the EMR.
• Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Proficient in EMR systems and computer applications.
