Qualifications

• Formal Medical Assistant program completion is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT/ICD-10) and pharmacology relevant to MA scope.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and measure vital signs.
• Maintain a sterile, organized clinical environment.
• Enter EMR data and document charts accurately.
• Communicate patient concerns to physicians and APPs.
• Coordinate medication authorizations with pharmacies and insurance.
