Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare patient charts, assist with examinations, and help maintain accurate EMR records to ensure efficient visits.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and completion of an approved MA program, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10, strong communication skills, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Formal Medical Assistant program completion required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge; CPT/ICD-10 coding and pharmacology relevant to MA scope.
• Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and measure vitals accurately.
• Maintain sterile, organized, and safe clinical environment.
• Manage medical records, including EMR input and chart documentation.
• Communicate patient concerns to physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and insurance for medication authorizations.
