Job summary

The Toledo Clinic, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in our Family Practice office in Toledo, OH. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30-5 and Friday 8:30-1, with no weekends or late shifts.

Qualified candidates will have an MA diploma/certificate and an MA credential (RMA, CMA, CCMA). If credentialing is not yet obtained, candidates may qualify if credential is obtained within 60 days of hire.

The Toledo Clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support. This position will work in our Family Practice office located on Holland-Sylvania Rd in Toledo OH. The hours are Monday-Thursday (8:30-5:00) and Friday (8:30-1:00).

There are no weekends, holidays or late evening hours. Qualified candidates will have an MA diploma/certificate along with an MA credential (RMA, CMA, CCMA). Candidates that are able to obtain the MA credential (RMA,CMA,CCMA) within 60 days of hire will also be considered.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary

Assist providers with patient treatment, prepares patient for providers, and performs various clerical duties.

Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• Escorting patients to exam room.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
