Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a formal 160-hour externship.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant with 5+ years of clinical experience OR LPN/EMT/paramedic with 1-year clinical experience.
• BLS-C certification required on hire or before orientation end.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs accurately.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.

Shift Hours/ Schedule:

• Monday:Shift hours vary and may extend until8:00 PM
• Tuesday – Friday:Shift hours generally fall between8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Every second Saturday:8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Total hours:Approximately40 hours per week

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.

Additional Requirements:

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).OR

Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.OR

Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).OR

Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.OR

Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years

• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
