Job Description

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Family Practice for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Day position.

The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $24.99 – $33.73. The hiring rate depends on factors such as education, training, work experience, collective bargaining agreements, and seniority.

Position Details

• Prepares patients for examination and treatment, records patient history and vital signs.
• Prepares exam/treatment rooms, maintains supplies and equipment.
• Administers injections, applies splints and dressings, manages wounds under provider orders.
• Maintains supplies and sterilizes equipment.
• May transport specimens and assist in scheduling.
• Maintains patient records and may provide phone screening.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to ensure smooth operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program, or apprenticeship; associate degree in Allied Health considered.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office preferred.
• Washington Medical Assistant certification required; interim certification accepted with 12 months to obtain full certification.
• National Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
