**Job Overview:**

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Family Practice for a full-time, 1.00 FTE, day shift position. The salary range is $24.99 – $33.73, dependent on factors such as education, training, experience, and collective bargaining agreements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking history and vital signs.
2. Prepare exam and treatment rooms, maintain supplies and equipment.
3. Administer injections, apply splints and dressings, assist with wound management under provider orders.
4. Sterilize and prepare supplies and equipment for treatments.
5. Transport specimens as needed.
6. Assist with scheduling and maintaining patient records, including electronic medical records.
7. Provide phone screening and coordinate with clinical staff and physicians.
8. Collaborate with clinic personnel to ensure smooth operations.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or equivalent such as a Medical Office Assistant with MOA certification eligibility, or completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency with computers and office equipment; familiarity with electronic health records is preferred.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Must hold a current Medical Assistant certification, RMA, or similar credential at hire.
