We are committed to providing comprehensive, expert primary care for adults and children in South Deerfield and surrounding communities through the centralization of these two practices.

Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant II to support our Family Medicine practice onsite, Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

As true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.

Responsibilities include:
• Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
• Preparing patient charts
• Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
• Assisting during minor surgeries and procedures
• Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
• Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
• Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Medical Assistant - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Experience
Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in complex and busy environments.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations.
- Ability to take vital signs and manual blood pressure, as well as collect blood samples and other specimens.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
