Shift: Day Job

Hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm, 4 x 10 hour days, Monday - Friday, varies. Option to possibly work 5 days per week based on provider schedule.

Make a Difference

The Medical Assistant will assist the provider at an ambulatory health care site with patient visits, procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the practice population. As an MA, you will also participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
  • Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
  • Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
  • Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimens.
  • Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and protocols.
  • Process referrals and medication refills.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
