Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Winghaven, Missouri is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for outpatient Family Medicine at our new Winghaven clinic.

This role supports physicians with clinical duties, patient intake, vital signs, phlebotomy and injections, with a 40-hour day shift, benefit eligibility, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus. No call, no weekends, and no holidays. CPR certification encouraged and training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to perform clinical skills under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains charting.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triages calls and provides test results with physician terminology.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
