Job Description
Administrative Tasks Do’s
  • Assist with patient flow
  • Greet and escort patients throughout the facility
  • Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, burning CDs, and proper disposal of HPI
  • Serve as a liaison between patients and the imaging team (PSRs, Technologists, Tech Aides, leadership)
  • Escalate patient concerns to Licensed Radiologic Technologists
  • Restock supplies
  • Properly handle medical equipment
Clinical Tasks Do’s
  • Assist with room and equipment preparation before and after imaging studies
  • Review screening questionnaires as applicable
  • Position patients
  • Set proper technical factors
  • Administer radiation
  • Understand radiology workflows, metrics, and processes
  • Practice patient and staff experience initiatives
  • Learn the QA program and radiation safety policies
  • Learn quality control documentation
  • Take vital signs
  • Perform EKGs
  • Measure height and weight
  • Perform or observe point-of-care rapid testing
  • Perform urinalysis, urine culture, pregnancy testing
  • Follow infection control protocols
  • Assist providers in applying prefabricated splints
