Job summary

Providence Ambulatory Care Network is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical teams with exams, procedures, injections and medication administration. You will also manage front desk registrations, billing, and payments while upholding our mission of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a registered MA apprenticeship or equivalent program.
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces.
  • Minimum one year MA experience with vital signs, injections and medication administration.

Certified Medical Assistant works closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care. MA duties include assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and performing tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. The MA is also responsible for front desk, patient registration, insurance billing and payment collection/cashiering in addition to their patient care responsibilities. Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.

Required Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
  • Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
  • Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or
  • Coursework/Training Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 6 months Healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range

$23.27 - $35.60

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
