Job Summary

In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant will provide support to Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients through various tasks, including patient care management, organization, and communication. The Medical Assistant completes all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner, aligning with our vision to become the urgent care partner of choice by redefining value and access to quality care through an effortless experience, a culture of care, and seamless community integration. Job Requirements
Education
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
  • 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred
  • CPOE must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire if Medical Assistant Certification is not obtained upon hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred for graduates of a Medical Assistant Program
  • Or 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience within the last 3 years under a licensed healthcare supervisor
  • Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire (through ARC or AHA)
  • One of the following certifications required within 15 months of hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA
  • Or equivalent certifications such as graduate of Nursing or LPN/RN, EMT, CNA
  • CPOE certification must be obtained within two weeks of start date and kept active

  • Knowledge of medical office management systems
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Essential Functions
