Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Northampton is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support the Endocrinology and Diabetes practice. This onsite role delivers coordinated care and partners with providers, nurses, and families to ensure excellent patient experiences.

You will rotate within a team of clinicians, assisting examinations, managing patient panels, and supporting clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant required.
  • Basic Life Support certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years of Medical Assistant experience in clinical/administrative duties.
  • Ability to take vital signs, collect blood samples, and other specimens.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and privacy standards.
  • Comfort using electronic health record systems and medical office software.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient patient flow throughout the practice.
  • Room patients and assist providers during examinations, procedures, treatments, and office visits as directed.
  • Perform clinically appropriate patient panel management tasks, including phone calls, test results, prescription refill support, and coordination of care.
  • Maintain neat, clean, organized, and safe patient care areas.
  • Communicate with patients and families in a professional, compassionate, and friendly manner.
  • Partner with nurses, providers, and administrative team members to support a positive patient experience.
