Job summary
Upperline Health Inc. seeks a motivated Medical Assistant for our De Leon office to support physicians with clinical and administrative tasks in a clinic setting. You will prepare patients for exams and assist with history reviews.
Ideal candidates have MA certification (preferred), experience in care coordination, strong EMR skills (athenahealth), and excellent communication. Travel to nearby clinics may be required; teamwork and reliability are essential.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant; MA Certification is desired.
- Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal
- Experience with adult/geriatric patient population preferred
- EMR experience, preferably athenahealth
- Strong communication and customer service orientation
Responsibilities
- Place patients in exam rooms and prep for physician
- Complete exam intake and review medical histories
- Conduct health assessments and visits for Upperline Plus patients
- Telephonic outreach and care coordination
- Medical records requests, order management, scheduling, referrals
- Provide patient care under the physician; assist in exam room and with x-rays
- Sterilize and clean exam/x-ray rooms daily
- Travel to surrounding area clinics to provide support
