Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Dover, NH is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support an endocrine care team. You will room patients, document vital signs, and assist with education and treatment plans in a busy specialty setting.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, prepare exam rooms and equipment, and support efficient patient flow.
  • Obtain and document medical information, including vital signs, height, weight, and updates to the medical record.
  • Assist with patient education by reinforcing treatment plans, medications, diets, and provider instructions.
  • Support clinical workflows, including specimen collection and preparation for testing; perform phlebotomy if competency is demonstrated.
  • Administer immunizations as applicable, in accordance with certification, experience, and supervision requirements.
  • Maintain immunization inventory and monitor expiration dates.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other team members to support high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with general office responsibilities such as phones, documentation, insurance forms, and coordination with other departments.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred. 1–2 years of direct Medical Assistant experience or medical field work required. Basic Life Support certification preferred. National Medical Assistant Certification preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach. Ability to prioritize in a busy clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, protocols, EHR systems, and medical office software. Ability to take vital signs, obtain manual blood pressure, and collect blood samples or other specimens. Commitment to privacy, confidentiality, safety, and regulatory standards.
