Job summary

Hometown Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The role emphasizes patient care, accurate vital signs, and documentation while assisting with exams and testing.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, injections, point-of-care testing, and coordinating records. CPR certification and 1–2 years of clinic experience are preferred. Our team values confidentiality, safety, and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a physician practice or clinic setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills including use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Ability to function independently with good clinical judgment.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and record vital signs.
• Perform basic testing and screenings (vision, audio, urine drug screens, EKGs, pulmonary function).
• Conduct phlebotomy for lab specimens and document results.
• Administer injections and complete paperwork for procedures.
• Perform point-of-care tests (strep, flu, glucose, urinalysis).
• Dispense medications and ensure sterile techniques.
