Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College seeks a full-time faculty member in the School of Nursing and Patient Support to deliver medical assisting instruction. You will create a quality learning environment, grade and assess student performance, and align courses with program outcomes, advancing student success.

You will also maintain records, integrate technology, participate in professional development, and engage in college service.

Qualifications

• Conferred associate's degree and medical or allied health credential.
• At least two years of experience related to medical assisting.
• Current medical assisting credential in good standing from AMT/AAMA/NCCT/NHA/AMCA with expiration date.
• Preferences: bachelor’s degree, leadership roles, instructional methodology, post-secondary teaching experience, online/hybrid teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and assess student learning to meet outcomes.
• Create an inclusive learning environment for diverse learners.
• Maintain and input student records and course documentation.
• Incorporate current technology in teaching and update curriculum as needed.
• Participate in department and college service and professional development.
