Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Admin Center in Colorado Springs seeks a Medical Assistant education specialist to support orientation, continuing education, and staff assessment. You will design and deliver learning activities and mentor clinical staff in development and practice.

The role requires collaboration with managers and educators to identify training needs, ensure regulatory compliance, and utilize clinical information systems. Onsite work with full-time schedule.

Location: UCHealth Memorial Admin Center - Colorado Springs, CO

Department: Shared Services

Work Schedule: Full Time, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with managers, educators and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of clinical staff.
  • Designs, delivers and assesses learning activities and curriculum related to clinical competencies, departmental, organizational policies, regulatory requirements and the use of clinical information technologies.
  • Serves as a consultant. Mentor for clinical staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
  • Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new clinical staff orientation and education activities.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements
  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, Preferred: Associate Degree in Medical Assisting.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: 3 years of recent experience practicing as medical assistant.
