SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Medical Assistant / MA will assist with healthcare services, administrative functions like patient flow, scheduling, and phone messages. Under supervision of a Physician or APC, provides care within scope of Medical Assistant / MA Certification to patients referred to the clinic. The Medical Assistant / MA will be part of the healthcare team, providing routine care to meet patient and provider needs within the practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet eligibility to sit for the exam with certification or registration through approved agencies within 90 days of employment, or current active status as a CMA or RMA.
• Current active CMA or RMA certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 6 months of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred.
