Qualifications

• Completion of CMCF Medical Assistant Training Program.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in a medical office desirable.
• Excellent customer service and phone communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to manage time, multitask, and handle high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and take vital signs.
• Document all patient care in EMR.
• Complete patient paperwork including prior authorizations and home health paperwork.
• Assist provider with exams, invasive procedures and minor surgeries.
• Order standard laboratory tests for chronic disease visits.
• Complete quality management in EMR and reconcile medications/allergies.
• E-prescribe medications after provider changes.
• Schedule consultations or imaging appointments.
• Prepare patients for examination or procedures; set up for procedures.
• Respond to patient messages and schedule appointments.
• Clean and stock rooms; update inventory records.
• Administer medications and vaccines after competency assessment.
• Perform patient tests and screenings, including x-rays, as directed.
