Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required.
Ability to perform direct patient care and vital signs per clinical protocols.
Ability to collect blood, urine, and sputum samples and perform routine lab tests.

Responsibilities

Assist with direct patient care and routine specialized medical procedures.
Assist medical and nursing staff with patient examinations and treatments.
Room patients and measure/record height, weight, temp, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Complete patient interviews and histories.
Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments and explain procedures.
Assist with physician-ordered procedures, exams, treatments, and tests.
Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.
Collect blood, urine, and sputum samples; perform routine laboratory tests.
