Job summary

West Georgia Dermatology is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering high-quality dermatology care. You will assist physicians with medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking histories, managing appointments, performing basic vital signs, and maintaining accurate EHR records using Modernizing Medicine.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience in dermatology preferred.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

• Assist dermatologists with medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document histories.
• Manage patient flow and scheduling.
• Take preliminary vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature).

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at West Georgia Dermatology. As an integral part of our clinical team, you will be involved in various aspects of patient care, helping make every visit smooth and easy for our patients. Prior experience in dermatology and proficiency with the Modernizing Medicine Electronic Health Records (EHR) system is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dermatologists with a variety of medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations, taking patient histories, and explaining treatment procedures.
• Manage patient flow, ensuring that each patient is seen in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform preliminary physical tests such as taking blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, etc.
• Maintain patient records with high level of accuracy using Modernizing Medicine EHR.
• Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment.
• Handle correspondence with patients, scheduling appointments, and managing follow-ups.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure a high standard of care.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal health regulations.

Qualifications
