Medical Assistant
Lakewood (Mondays) & Aurora (Fridays), CO

Vivo Infusion Medical Assistant

In this position, you will play a crucial role in our clinical operations by providing essential support to our medical team, patients, and the infusion center. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, assisting medical staff, and delivering safe, compassionate care in accordance with all external and internal guidelines and regulations.

We are looking for a Medical Assistant with prior administrative experience, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently.

Compensation
  • Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 / hr

  • Schedule: Monday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Lakewood), Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (Aurora)

Reports To

Clinical Operations Manager

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform patient care activities following standards of practice.
  • Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient charts.
  • Communicate patient data to providers and nurses.
  • Provide administrative support: greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage calls, process payments.
  • Ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms.
  • Assist providers as needed.
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens.
  • Assist with obtaining prior authorizations and documentation.
  • Triage patient communications and document appropriately.
  • Manage supplies and disinfect exam rooms.
  • Obtain records for patient charts.
  • Communicate effectively about patient issues.
  • Follow infection control policies.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Handle hazardous materials properly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA.
  • Manage schedule changes and rescheduling.
  • Handle mail and deliveries.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (preferred).
  • CPR/BLS certification before start date.
  • At least 6 months of clinical experience.
  • Experience in administrative or customer service roles.
  • Phlebotomy skills (preferred).
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and procedural documents.
