Texoma Care, part of Universal Health Services, in Denison, TX, seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in patient exams, vitals, venipuncture, and front desk coverage.

This role requires a Medical Assistant certificate or one year of experience; BLS/CPR; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; strong communication and computer skills; team-oriented and patient-focused.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Medical Assistant certificate or 1 year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with patient check-in/check-out.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs (e.g., MS Office).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and related procedures as directed.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist at front desk as needed.

TheMedical Assistantis responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties, which include a ssicing in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture, and procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required.

Independent Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics that align with UHS acute care facilities.
