Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality patient care. The role supports examinations, injections, phlebotomy, and minor procedures in a busy primary care setting.

The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Medical Assisting program or have 12 months of direct clinical experience, with MA certification on track if not yet certified. Staffing is full-time, days only, with strong benefits and growth support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months clinical patient care experience or current MA certification.
• Candidates with MA certification within 1 year of hire if no MA certification at start.
• Recent grads will obtain clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
• Active and unrevoked MA certifications (RMA/CCMA/CMA/NCMA/NCRMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and sterilize supplies/equipment.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen for referrals.
