Job summary

HCA Florida Vascular Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. This full-time role is Monday through Friday, daytime hours with no nights, on-call, weekends, or holidays, and focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will support clinical workflows, prepare patients and exam rooms, assist with injections and basic lab tasks, and help physicians with minor procedures, while benefiting from comprehensive healthcare, retirement options, and a strong team

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of medical assisting or direct clinical patient care experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Medical Assistant certification within the timelines if not currently certified, or hold an accepted certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen for referrals.
