Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Group in Sparks, NV is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision. You will measure vitals, prepare exam rooms, assist with venipuncture and injections, and help at the front desk as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Certificate of Completion or 1 year MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with patient check-in/check-out per clinic protocol.
• Knowledge of end-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician guidance.
• Interview patients and measure vitals (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Venipuncture and related procedures as directed.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist front desk as needed.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Triaging patients and preparing them for exam.
