Job summary

UPMC Physical Medicine and Rehabiliation in Bethel Park, PA is seeking a casual Medical Assistant for a weekday daylight role. The position includes assisting patients, preparing rooms, and supporting two specialties: Spine Health and Sports.

On-site parking is available, with a schedule emphasizing Fridays and additional weekday coverage as needed. Responsibilities include verifying insurance, scheduling, recording vitals, and assisting with injections, phlebotomy, and EKGs while maintaining

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and EKGs performed per policy.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality required.
• Able to assist with injections, vaccines, and clinic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules and organize patient flow; accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms.
• Send/receive patient records in compliance with HIPAA and regulations.
• Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments, and maintain infection control between visits.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and restock exam/procedure rooms.
• Comply with OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health requirements and policies.
• Document patient information in the medical record and assist physicians with procedures.
