Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Palliative Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our team in Florida. This full-time, day-shift role features no nights, no weekends, and no holidays.

You will support clinical care by preparing patients, rooms, and instruments, taking histories and vitals, and assisting with injections and lab work. Qualifications include one year of Medical Assisting or similar clinical care, and a Medical Assistant Certification is required or must be obtained within 60 days of

Qualifications

• 1 year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is required or must be obtained within 60 days of employment
• Past experience supporting clinical exams and basic patient care tasks is expected

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs
• Set up exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies, maintain cleanliness and sterility
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
• Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals
• Answer calls and screen referrals for the practice
