Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Medical Assistance preferred.
• National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and readies patients for examinations or minor procedures.
• Records pertinent history and vital signs; acts as a scribe between patient and physician.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic results in the chart and notifies providers as needed.
• Coordinates patient flow with front desk and assists with scheduling and other tasks.

Education

Associate's Degree in Medical Assistance

National Certification as a Medical Assistant
