Northern Nevada Medical Group, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), offers a full-time Medical Assistant role with a day shift schedule and full benefits. You will assist in examinations, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under physician supervision.

You will also cover front desk duties as needed and support the clinic in delivering high-quality patient care in a multi-specialty setting across IPM networks.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (clinic protocol).

Mansioni

• Participates in decision-making and process improvement.
• Keeps patient rooms, nursing station and storage rooms stocked and clean; manages product expiration and equipment cleanliness.
• Distributes referrals to physicians and insurance companies with proper documentation in patient charts.
• Pre-authorizes prescriptions and clinical tests as necessary.
• Phone/faxing patient prescriptions as necessary.
• Schedules imaging studies, dietician appointments, cardiology testing, and radiology testing; completes paperwork.
• Triages patients, checks vitals, administers injections and venipunctures, and prepares patients for physician exams.
