Hours: Mondays 10:00 am to 7:00 pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Fridays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Responsibilities:
- Check schedules and organize patient flow. Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms. Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, specimen collection, and preparation for exams. Collect patient information and vital signs, perform screenings per provider guidelines. Relay instructions to patients and families.
- Send and receive patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
- Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment according to protocol. Clean rooms, instruments, and equipment between visits to maintain infection control. Manage inventory and restock supplies.
- Comply with regulatory requirements (OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). Maintain confidentiality of medical records and data. Follow all UPMC policies and procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic labs. Assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information accurately.
- Answer calls, provide patient education, and relay pertinent information.
- Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referrals, and complete necessary documentation. Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient charts.
- Administer injectable medications and vaccines under physician supervision when appropriate.
