Job summary

Legacy Health in Beaverton, OR seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to join a collaborative clinical team. You will assist with patient care under physician supervision and prepare patients for visits and procedures.

You will perform vaccines, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing, while managing calls, refills, and follow-ups in the EHR. A MA program or equivalent training is required, with additional certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a clinic back office medical assistant preferred.
• Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent experience; or completion of military medical services training.
• Oregon EMT program (Oregon only) may substitute MA qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under the direction of physicians.
• Prepare patients for office visits and procedures.
• Administers vaccines/medications and performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Provide indirect patient care via phone or EHR, answer questions, process refills, schedule follow-ups.
• Utilize electronic health records for efficient care.
