Job summary

VIPcare in Deltona, FL seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support under a physician, PA, or APRN. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist during visits, perform CLIA-waived tests, phlebotomy, immunizations, and coordinate front-office tasks.

A bilingual Spanish speaker is required and completion of a accredited MA program with CPR/BLS is preferred. The role emphasizes quality care and Medicare Advantage patient support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent certification).
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice, outpatient, or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.
• IV Therapy certification preferred where permitted by state regulations.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations and document relevant clinical information.
• Measure vital signs and document clinical observations.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during visits and procedures.
• Explain treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care to patients.
• Provide compassionate, professional service to promote a positive patient experience.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Perform in-office diagnostic tests including EKGs, vision screenings, and spirometry.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR and coordinate care communications.
