Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of the Physician and/or intermediary personnel. The MA supports front office staff and patient care management in a Downtown Biloxi clinic.

Required: High school diploma, ABHES/CAAHEP MA program preferred, CMA or RMA certification or eligibility, BCLS, and 1 year of customer service experience. Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification must be obtained or maintained; BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and intermediary personnel with patient care management.
• Support front office staff in registration, scheduling, and insurance verification as directed.
• Perform a reasonable scope of clinical and administrative tasks under supervision.
