Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Milford, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant with phlebotomy certification to join our Community Behavioral Health Center team. The role supports medical staff, assists with MAT follow-up, phlebotomy, and EKG administration, and helps coordinate appointments and records.

You will work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, 40 hours weekly, with a pay rate of $23.33 per hour plus language differential opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma; some college coursework preferred.
• Proven experience with office administration and medical office documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage flow of information in CBHC administrative office.
• Assist with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) follow-up, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
• Schedule appointments for medication and nursing visits; coordinate referrals and patient communications.
• Obtain vital signs and maintain medication temperature logs where required.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other staff to share workload and ensure smooth operations.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for managing the flow of information, communication, and data in the CBHC administrative office for those tasks related to supporting medical staff. The Medical Assistant will provide hands on support with Medication Assisted Treatment, (MAT) follow up, phlebotomy, and the administration of EKGs.

• Take medical related calls, screen and direct calls to the appropriate individuals.
• Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate program/individual.
• Request medical records from outside sources as needed
• Complete all required nursing administrative documentation in a timely fashion and maintain consumer record files in accordance with quality assurance standards
• Assist psychiatric and nursing staff by scheduling appointments for medication visits, nursing visits, and assisting with medical documentation.
• Provide support to Psychiatrist and NPs by communicating with clients served regarding scheduling, referrals, questions and problem solving.
• Obtain vital signs and metrics as needed and requested by medical staff
• Maintain temperature logs as needed for refrigerated medications.
• Collaborate with coworkers in sharing workload.

Schedule

Full Time, 40 hours

• Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm

Pay Rate

$23.33/hourly

• Language differential available for Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole - additional $0.96/hourly

Required Skills
