LCMC Health in Marrero, LA is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant to join our Neuroscience Clinic on a full-time basis. You will work closely with physicians and clinic staff in a fast-paced primary care setting, handling patient intake, vital signs, documentation in EMR, and supportive care to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years healthcare experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Or two (2) years of relevant healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Aufgaben

• Obtain and document vital signs, recognizing and reporting abnormal findings.
• Assist with patient intake, rooming, and clinic flow.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments.
• Recognize and appropriately respond to emergencies.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, linens, and equipment.
• Prepare, clean, and disinfect clinical equipment according to policy.
• Collect, prepare, and transport laboratory specimens as needed.
• Support patient comfort and care while considering age-specific and special needs.
• Accurately document patient information in the EMR.
• Access and review laboratory results, radiology reports, and outside medical records.
• Update patient demographics and coordinate follow-up care.
• Prepare safety reports when necessary.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Ausbildung
